Keyboard shortcuts can be used to navigate aspects of this site without a mouse or cursor.


When viewing a document, select or tab into the image viewer and use the following controls to manipulate the image.


  • Move up: w or [up arrow]
  • Move down: s or [down arrow]
  • Move left: a or [left arrow]
  • Move right: d or [right arrow]
  • Return to centre: 0
  • Zoom in: = or [shift] + w or [shift] + [up arrow]
  • Zoom out: - or [shift] + s or [shift] + [down arrow]
  • Rotate clockwise: r
  • Rotate counterclockwise: R
  • Flip horizontally: f

    Wilder Visions

    Wilder Visions is a blog authored by Governor L. Douglas Wilder, the 66th Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Governor Wilder shares his views on contemporary issues that are important to his community in central Virginia, Virginia, and the U.S. as a whole. He aims to further public dialogue and encourage his community to be more politically active using his blog. Some of his most recent posts include topics such as voting, Black history, and Virginia Commonwealth University’s recent failings.

    Conversations with Governor Wilder

    Conversations with Governor Wilder (2020) is a 12-episode podcast interviewing the first Black governor in the US, L. Douglas Wilder. Governor Wilder speaks on his political career as both Virginia governor and Richmond mayor, his early life, his pardoning of Allen Iversen, and his views on contemporary issues regarding race in America.
